Function and Applications

Illustrative molecular models made of plastic with which the DNA double helix can be established: The bases are represented by flat plastic body in four different colors. About the shaping of the model, it is only possible to sew together the complementary bases (adenine and thymine, guanine and cytosine). The pentose phosphate backbone is also assembled from deoxyribose and phosphate elements.
