Principle

Small photovoltaic systems can be used directly to supply small devices or lighting. This generally requires higher voltages than one cell can supply. Several cells must therefore be connected in series. LEDs are mostly used in solar lights. In this experiment, the voltage required to make an LED light up with a solar cell is to be investigated.

Benefits

  • Part of a system solution - easily expandable for further experiments
  • Simple teaching by using the demo board physics
  • Clear test execution by using ADM3 multimeters
