Principle

Ohm's law states that the strength of the electric current I flowing through an object is proportional to the electric voltage U. The proportionality factor here is the so-called electric resistance R. The proportionality factor here is the so-called electrical resistance R.

Benefits

  • Particularly comprehensible and didactically prepared description of the experiment (reference to everyday life, etc.) incl. protocol questions.
  • Future-oriented teaching: Integration into digital science lessons with tablets or smartphones.
  • Increased motivation among students through use of the intuitive measureAPP.
  • Increased media literacy.
  • No additional cable connections between the modules necessary - clearer and faster set-up.
  • contact safety due to puzzle-like interlocking building blocks.
  • Hard gold-plated, corrosion-resistant contacts
  • Double learning success: electrical circuit diagram visible on the upper side and real components on the lower side

Tasks

What is the relationship between voltage and current?

Determine a series of pairs of measured values for voltage and current in a circuit and use them to investigate the relationship between U and I.

Learning Objectives

Students should first identify Ohm's law I ∼ U based on the measured values they have determined.

Then they should also find the condition R = constant for the validity of this law.
