Principle

The experiment can be used as an interesting extension to an experiment on the construction and function of the photographic camera. Previous experience in the form of such an experiment will enable students to safely handle the apparatus even in a (necessarily) fully darkened room.

Benefits

  • Multifunctional light box - All-in-one: Can be used for geometric optics on the table, colour mixing and on an optical bench
  • Extension with others sets at anytime, no additional light sources needed, recognition value for students

Tasks

Construct a model of a camera and investigate the influence of the use of diaphragms with different hole diameters on the depth of focus of a camera.
