Function and Application

Water decomposition apparatus according to Hoffmann (complete set including tripod and electrodes) - Suitable for the electrolysis of water and for the quantitative determination of the resulting gas quantities. The setup ensures a secure mounting of the electrodes. By lifting or lowering the level vessel, the silicone hose and the level vessel allow the pressure equalization of trapped gases with the air pressure and results in more exact measured values. This is especially important when using the apparatus as a Coulombmeter or examine the Faraday laws. The device can be attached to any tripod with the help of clamps.
