Function and Applications
ESR / NMR control panel for the investigation of electron spin resonance (ESR) on the unpaired electron of DPPH (diphenyl-picryl-hydrazyl) molecules as well as the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) for example on glycerol, polystyrene and Teflon. The resonances are monitored by high-frequency-induced transitions when the external magnetic field changes. The resonance absorption curves can be displayed with a simple two-channel oscilloscope.
The device consists of the following components:
- 1 control console
- 1 power supply unit (12 V AC (230V, 50 / 60Hz))

- Connection of measuring heads: four-pin lemo socket
- Connection of coil pair: Sawtooth current source 0 - 250 mA, 50 ms, pair of hollow sockets
- Output Field: proportional to the coil current, 0 to 1V, BNC socket
- Output signal: Resonance signal, 0 to 1 V, BNC socket
- Frequency range: approx. 45 to 75 MHz (ESR)
- ca. 10 to 15 MHz (NMR)
