Principle
Potatoes contain starch, which can be extracted from them after comminuting them. On controlled heating of starch, dextrins are formed as decomposition products. Starch from potatoes is extracted in this experiment and  paste is make from it.

Learning objectives

  •  Occurrence of starch

Benefits

  • Easy teaching and efficient learning by using interactive experimentation PHYWE-Software
  • Experiment is part of a complete solution set with experiments for the topic Food Chemistry matched with international curriculum: all topics are covered
